Hamburg based earMUSIC, the international pop-rock label of the European entertainment group Edel, is proud to announce the release of the new studio album by worldwide acclaimed UK band Marillion, one of the English music scene’s best kept secrets; chart “aficionados” during the eighties and since then one of the few names in the pop scene to get more and more creative and fascinating album after album. Always reinventing themselves and, at the same time, always keeping the unique sound that made them loved by millions of dedicated fans all over the world.

The new studio album ‘Less Is More’ – released all over Europe on October 2nd in cooperation with the band’s own label Intact- is a chance for Marillion to shine new light onto their songs. The band selected songs, some of which they have never performed acoustically before, giving them new arrangements and a new edge.
What Marillion have developed during the recording of this studio album is a real pop avant-garde experiment: to deprive the song of their original dress, to reconstruct them with a completely new minimalistic and intimate approach starting only from the melodies and the nude chord sequences.
All five members of the band pushed the songs to unexpected new musical territories to showcase the essence of their songs in this alternative, intimate and exciting format.
